In today’s quick episode, I will walk you through ideas and examples on how to grow your Instagram in 30 minutes a day. I saw a post linked from Pinterest that shared tips on how to grow your Instagram in only 30 minutes a day and I didn’t think the tips were realistic! So I wanted to create this episode to share my thoughts on what can actually be done in 30 minutes a day and what I believe to be the most important things to focus on to see results. Disclaimer, if you’re in the learning process of creating content, these tips might take a little longer, but these are good goals to shoot for!

In this episode, How to grow your IG in only 30 minutes a day in 2024, I cover:

  • A content creation, posting, and batching schedule you can implement with specific examples of how to utilize your time
  • A few things I don’t think you need to worry about or focus on when trying to grow your Instagram (e.g. hashtags)
  • Ideas on things I do think you should do to help grow your Instagram (e.g. learning about the algorithm, listening to my previous episodes on Instagram tips, checking your analytics, etc.)
  • Reasons why and how you should audit and optimize your account

You’re going to spend 5 days a week on IG, weekends off and post 3x a week — if you want to work weekends you could add in another posting day and increase to 4x a week or use that time for community building

POSTING DAYS:

Day 1 (mon)

-5 min: posting (writing out the caption if you haven’t batched it already) + sharing to stories

-5 min: engaging with comments after posting

-5 min: misc tasks

-15 min: posting on stories throughout the day

Day 2 (wed)

-5 min: posting (writing out the caption if you haven’t batched it already) + sharing to stories

-5 min: engaging with comments after posting

-5 min: misc tasks

-15 min: posting on stories throughout the day

Day 3 (fri)

-5 min: posting (writing out the caption if you haven’t batched it already) + sharing to stories

-5 min: engaging with comments after posting

-5 min: misc tasks or overflow time

-15 min: posting on stories throughout the day

NON POSTING DAYS:

Day 1 (Tues)

-5 minutes collecting content ideas for batch day

-15 minutes in your DMs

-10 min for stories throughout the day

Day 2 (Thurs)

batching content

-10 minutes per post (this will also get you out of overthinking mode)

Side note: if you show up in other medias I’d do those on Tuesday and Thursdays (in this example)

Things I WOULDNT worry about:

-hashtags

-how many views each reel gets

-trends

Things I WOULD do:

-create a series of content

-collaborate with 1 other account per month

-spend time learning the algorithm

-look at your analytics frequently and use that to adjust your strategy

-find your best posting time

-focus on non follower reach, watch time for reels, and followers per post

-spend a few minutes every quarter optimizing your account and doing an audit
