Listen to ‘Why am I bringing the pod back?’ on: Apple Podcasts | Spotify | Your player of choice
In today’s episode, I’m sharing the real reason I decided to bring the podcast back — and honestly, it wasn’t part of the 2025 plan. Over the last two months, four different students across my mastermind and scalability programs mentioned that they’ve listened to every episode, missed the podcast, and wished it would return. These are my highest-level clients… and hearing that kind of feedback repeatedly made it impossible to ignore.
So in this episode, I’m breaking down the signs that told me it was time to restart the show, why the podcast attracts my dreamiest clients more than any other platform, and how it aligns with the direction my business is moving in 2026 — specifically my word of the year: depth.
You’ll also hear why I relaunched quietly without a big promo push (think: November + two babies + solo parenting + Black Friday chaos), and how short, 5–15 minute episodes are helping me become a stronger mentor by forcing me to cut the fluff and get straight to the point.
Finally, I’m giving you one simple action step — one that might honestly shift the way you show up in your business moving into 2026.
In this episode, I cover:
- Why repeated feedback from my highest-ticket clients pushed me to bring the show back
- How podcasting creates deeper connection and moves people further along their buyer journey
- Why “depth” is the theme shaping my 2026 business vision
- Why evergreen content lowers the pressure to launch loudly
- How shorter episodes sharpen my coaching and communication
- The $50,000 lesson I learned from realizing where my people are actually being moved to buy
Full transcription of episode:
“I am here to answer your burning question, which is why did I decide to bring the podcast back? There are several different reasons, but the biggest one is this: my dreamiest dream clients are the ones listening to my podcast. This came up over and over again in conversations, and I couldn’t ignore it any longer.
Two months ago, I was on a mastermind call with my mastermind students. We were chatting back and forth, and one of them said, “I am a huge fan of your podcast. I’ve listened to all of your episodes. Do you have one where you talk about XYZ?” The topic she asked for was how to navigate entrepreneurship in your marriage—income, partnership dynamics, splitting responsibilities, all of that. And that just so happened to be last week’s episode.
But I left that call thinking, wait… she’s listened to all of my episodes? Interesting.
A month later, I onboarded a new mastermind student. On her onboarding call—totally unprompted—she said, “I’m honored to be here. I’ve listened to every episode. I’m fangirling.” And again in my head I was like, okay… that’s two people saying the exact same thing.
Then, while prepping for my Scalability launch, I was collecting testimonials from students to update the sales page. And two of them said, without me asking, “When are you bringing the podcast back? I would love to be a guest. I listen to every episode. I’m so sad you paused it.”
That was when I went, okay. Obviously the universe is telling me something. When you hear feedback once, you note it. When you hear it twice, you start to pay attention. When you hear it four times from your highest-level clients? You take action. My dreamiest clients are podcast listeners. They’re getting the biggest transformation from the long-form, deeper conversations. That was the ROI I needed to bring it back.
One of the main struggles I had seven months ago when I paused the show wasn’t just lack of motivation—in the third trimester, let’s be honest, I did not have the capacity—it was also wondering if the podcast was actually growing my business. I don’t have the bandwidth for tasks that don’t move the needle. If it’s not creating impact or revenue, I can’t justify it.
But hearing this feedback from my mastermind students and scalability students—my highest ticket offers—made it clear: the podcast is working. It’s not just “something nice to do.” It’s directly nurturing and converting my highest-level clients. That’s the biggest reason the show is back.
Another reason? My word for 2026 is depth. My word for 2025 was spaciousness, and I have built the most spacious business I’ve ever had. But moving into 2026, the lens is depth. Depth of conversation, depth of impact, depth of money. The podcast supports all three.
Deep conversations? That happens here more than on Instagram.
Deep money? If my dreamiest clients are podcast listeners, this is where their buyer journey deepens.
Deep impact? Out of all my free content—Instagram, broadcast channel, email—my podcast is where I deliver the deepest behind-the-scenes, the most nuance, and the most transformation.
Another reason I didn’t do a big relaunch or marketing push for the podcast is simple: I don’t have the capacity in this season. It’s the holiday season. November is my busiest month. I’m solo parenting for ten days. I have a four-month-old and a newly two-year-old. I’m in a launch. Black Friday and Cyber Monday are happening.
I knew that if I required a big production to relaunch the show, it wouldn’t get launched at all. So I decided: I’m just going to post it. The people who need to hear it will hear it. A simple story on Instagram is enough for now.
And because the podcast is evergreen, unlike social media content, there’s no urgency. People can discover these episodes any time. If I decide to do a big push in Q1 of 2026 to regain listeners, I can do that. Meanwhile, the episodes will already be here doing the heavy lifting.
Another big reason I’m bringing the podcast back is that it makes me a better mentor. It forces me to articulate my thoughts more clearly and explain things more simply. That’s why I’m doing five-to-fifteen-minute episodes now—to challenge myself to get right to the point. No fluff. Just the meat and potatoes. The podcast improves me as a speaker, coach, and leader. And while I’m proud of how far I’ve come, I know I still have room to grow. This is one of the best tools for that growth.
So your action item today is simple, but powerful. I want you to think about where your dreamiest clients enter your world. How are they finding you? And what makes them decide to invest?
This could be your highest ticket offer, a mastermind, private coaching, a signature program—whatever the offer is. What is the true catalyst that moves someone from “I follow you” to “I trust you enough to invest”?
And I want to be really clear: I don’t believe there’s one magic piece of content that does this. It’s an accumulation—social content, emails, stories, podcasts, blogs. But I want you to identify the platform or format that does the most heavy lifting in your buyer journey.
For me, over the last two months, I’ve realized it’s the podcast. People find me on social media, but the podcast is what moves them closer to purchasing—especially with my highest ticket offers. A reel is great, but it’s not usually what prompts someone to buy. The podcast and my emails do that. That’s where the real connection and transformation happens.
And this realization—so simple, yet so important—has been a $50,000 lesson for me this year. The podcast is where my people are. So I need to show up here.
I’ll leave you with this question: do you really need to be doing all the things? Or can you double down on the one or two things that are actually working really, really well?
It is exhausting trying to be everywhere—Instagram, email, funnels, podcasts, blogs, YouTube, and whatever else you think you “should” be doing. You don’t have to be everywhere. Step back and ask: what are the one or two platforms I can go all in on for the rest of 2025 and into 2026? What are the places that will help me scale faster instead of spreading myself thin?
Sit with that. And thanks for tuning into this episode.”
